The announcement
The Geometry and Mathematical Physics project (GMP) of Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal, invites applications for postdoctoral positions in mathematics within one of the research areas of GMP. Positions are for one year, and selected candidates must have obtained a doctoral degree in a related area by the time they take up their position, which can be any date between September 1, 2014, and January 1, 2015.

There are no teaching duties associated to these positions.
GMP is funded by the Portuguese Science Foundation (FCT) and the Portuguese Ministry for Education and Science (MEC) through PIDDAC.

Geometry and Mathematical Physics Project
The Geometry and Mathematical Physics Project (EXCL/MAT-GEO/0222/2012) is supported by CAMGSD as a research unit and by Instituto Superior Técnico as host institution. It includes a significant number of researchers from CAMGSD and other institutions working in these scientific areas. Its funding was secured through a Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia call for scientific projects.
Post-doctoral positions are funded in the framework of the project under the conditions of the announcement quoted on this page. Applications are submitted through the CAMGSD application submission system.
To complete and submit an application, go through the following steps:
- Register on the CAMGSD site through https://camgsd.ist.utl.pt/registration/
- With the login credentials obtained in the previous step, complete your application data in https://camgsd.ist.utl.pt/candidaturas/
- Make sure you seal your application before December 15, 2013, 5:00 pm (GMT).
The application involves requesting reference letters which should also be received by December 15, 2013. Follow the instructions in the application submission platform and make sure your referees are aware of the deadline.
